Looking at the picture, you are watching me fly down the big hill in Knyken. Knyken is my home hill, only a 40 minutes trip from my hometown Trondheim.
They say Norwegians are born with skis on their feet, on the other hand, my first experience with skis was the first time testing the ski jumping hill in 2017.
Those who saw me jumping for the first time were shocked, and the learning process launched fast. Cross country skiing looked as bad as it could look like when starting, but as well as in the ski jumping hill, the learning process was steep.
Almost every ski jumper has a parent who has practiced the sport when they were younger, but my story did not start there.
The Norwegian TV-Show "Mesternes Mester" had a ski jumper as a competitor in the 8th season, Anders Jacobsen.
After watching him on the television show, I had to try the sport for myself.
